Questions, answered honestly
Everything visitors ask us
How do I order a weekly veg box?+
Send us a message through the contact page or call the farm gate, tell us your household size, and we will set you up. Boxes are packed to order every week, so you can pause or cancel any time before packing day.
When and where do I pick up?+
Pickup runs Wednesday and Saturday from 10:00am to 07:00pm at the farm gate on Meadowbrook Lane. Bring your box back each visit and we will refill it — returning boxes keeps our packaging waste close to zero.
Are your fields really organic?+
Every vegetable row is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, using compost, cover crops and long rotations instead. Our pasture livestock are raised on open grass with no growth stimulants, exactly as we describe at the market stall.
How do your irrigation sensors work?+
Small probes sit in the root zone of each block and report soil moisture to the crew every hour. When a block drops below its target, the drip lines run just long enough to top it up — so plants get steady water and none is wasted.
Where do you deliver?+
We deliver veg boxes across Greensboro and the neighbouring towns every Friday, and wholesale crates to partner shops across the county. If you are outside our route, farm-gate pickup is always available on market days.
What is in season right now?+
The shop list changes with the field: salad greens and strawberries in early summer, sweet corn and tomatoes at the peak, pumpkins and storage roots into autumn. Message us any time and we will tell you what was picked this morning.
Can we visit the farm?+
Yes — the farm gate and market stall are open Monday to Saturday, and guided row walks run on the first Saturday of each month. School and community groups can book a longer tour through the contact page.
How do I become a partner grower?+
Partner growers supply the farm shop and box scheme alongside our own fields, with grading help and a steady route to customers. Write to us with your acreage and crops, and our head grower will arrange a walk of your land.
